Horse & Rider Session // Laura, Electra, Mando & Beanz

Honestly, I’m pretty sure I could write a book about how much I adore Laura and all her horses! Growing up I considered her one of my best friends and even though we drifted apart, I am so glad that we have reconnected and I get to capture so many precious memories for her now. She is such a hard-working person and truly puts her horses above all else. Getting to know her as the horsewoman she is today, with her lovely herd of bays is such an honour and I think if someone had told me all those years ago how Laura would become an incredible rider and person, with such lovely horses, I wouldn’t have doubted them for a second because it just makes sense, it’s who she is.

At this session, I got to meet her new baby horse, Mando, after having to retire Beanz early. Beanz was the project horse who wiggled his way into her heart and it is obvious now that he is there to stay. Mando is quiet and a bit timid, but seems to have a heart of gold, and I have no doubt that he and Laura will do incredible things as a team. And of course, there is Electra, the bay mare who has been a true constant in Laura’s riding journey. I’ve known Electra nearly as long as I’ve known Laura and I love every time I get to spend time with this A+ mare. She is truly one of a kind and will win the heart of anyone who is lucky enough to know her, just like Laura!
