Horse & Rider Session // Lauren, Nemo & Tom

In the last month, I have fallen very far behing with my blogs, social media and editing, sessions took up almost all my time in June and then I really needed a week off in July but now I am trying to get back on top of things, so expect to see a lot of blogs in the next few weeks as I do my best to catch up on everything! And to all my wonderful clients - thank you for your patience right now!

Now on to the wonderful gallery and blog!

I’ve gotten to know Lauren over Instagram in the last year and met her briefly at a horse show last fall, she has always been incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, joking about both of our silly cats and horses. I was very excited for our session together and it did not disappoint! She is an incredibly easy-going and fun person to be around and we had a blast together. Nemo and her compliment each other in every way and obviously have built an incredible connection over the last seven years. Above all else it was clear that they shared a friendship and had found a kindredness in one another, a reflection of each other. It was a joy not only to capture her love for Nemo but also the love between Lauren and Tom, who again seemed to share a joyfulness and easy-going attitude towards life. The session was completely filled with laughter and humor, but it was also clear that I was capturing a deep connection between Lauren and Nemo, one that Lauren herself beautifully put into words below. I can only hope that my images were able to capture this same loving sentiment between a girl and her heart horse.

“nemo and i have spent almost 7 great years together. i know he’s getting older, and i’m not sure he will ever show above the 1.10m, but he is my heart horse, my best friend. he’s honestly the reason i’m still here, and the reason i’m the person I am. no amount of money is worth my nemo. he’s my everything.”
