Horse & Rider Session // Morgan & Kahana

Truthfully, I would like to just let these images just speak for themselves because I think it is one of the most stunning summer sessions, and no words that I can deliver will match the beauty that we were able to capture. None the less, I will do my best.

What I appreciated most about the session and the relationship between Morgan and Kahana was Morgan’s honesty, that their relationship was not always, and still is not, perfect. This type of honesty is refreshing and comforting when so often it can feel isolating to struggle to bond and connect with your horse.

“Kahana and I have not always had a great relationship. She has given me more grief than any other horse and never ever gives anything up easily, but I truly would be nothing without her. I owe her more then I can ever repay.”

It’s obvious that though Kahana may have not initially been Morgan’s dream horse, and she may still be quirky and hate any PDA, that the two have developed a strong connection and respect for one another. Their bond reminded me of two friends or sisters, who may not always get along but know that they will always be in each other’s lives and always there for the other when it is needed.

“She impresses me every single ride and I'm so happy after 7 years that I've finally been able to accomplish so much with her!”
