Horse & Rider Session // Lizzy & EJ

I was lucky enough to meet Lizzy in this last year and many of you would have met her at your sessions this summer and fall! She was my dedicated assistant for many sessions this year and I was so glad when it was finally her turn to be in front of the camera at the end of October!

From getting to know Lizzy I learnt that she was a dedicated young equestrian who loved horses more than anything, the kind of love and admiration that spark childhood obsession and big dreams. She is one of the most positive and outgoing people I have met and was always a bright and cheerful face at every session. At most of our sessions, she would chat about her horses and her mare EJ in particular, so I was excited to finally meet the bay mare that I had heard so much about!

It was obvious photographing them together that every word Lizzy had said was true, from EJ’s quirky and feisty personality to their bond and understanding of one another. They were a partnership that truly reminded me that there is no love like that shared between a girl and her horse. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for this pair!
