Today’s episode is exciting for two reasons!

  1. It is the tenth episode! This idea that began as a whim in my head has now grown to a full-fledged podcast, in the double digits! I am so honoured to have been able to spark so many amazing conversations already and I can’t wait to see where this goes - I’m sure that this is only the beginning!

  2. We have a very exciting guest on the podcast and the first-ever author on the Proud Horse Girl Podcast! So without further ado, let me introduce today’s guest -

Carrie Seim is the author of a new children’s novel, Horse Girl, an excellent tale of the trials and tribulations of the horse world and of growing up. Reading it instantly transported me back to my teenage years and what it felt like to feel awkward, misunderstood and out of place. I know that this book will be a tale that many horse girls and young tweens will be able to see themselves in and hopefully gain confidence and a sense of humour from.

Carrie is delightful to chat within this episode, opening up about her own experiences in the horse world, her inspiration behind the book and what she thinks is the makings of a true horse girl. It becomes very obvious in chatting with her that this story is one that is close to her heart and that was written with intention and kindness, and love for horse girls everywhere!
