Horse Show // Shamrock Series Valentines Show
There is just something about being ringside at a horse show that I will never get tired of! The early morning driving, the quiet intensity in the air, the positive and kind atmosphere. It is something un-to itself! And I was so excited to be back at it at the Shamrock Series!
Though it may not have been the same familiar venue as the Killerney Farms that we have known, the core of these horse shows clearly had not changed. These horse shows hosted by Kathleen Schirmaier have for years brought out the best in our equestrian community, they are a shining beacon of positivity, kindness, and education for new riders in the community. Despite a change of venue to Riverfront Equestrian, the beautiful qualities of these horse shows have not changed and they remain an excellent learning experience for equestrians. Many of the riders at this weekend’s show were experiencing their first-ever horse show, or the first in a very long time (a quarter of a century in some cases)! The positive atmosphere was un-questionable as the crowd cheered on these nervous riders stepping into the show ring for the first time. There are times that we can question whether the equestrian community in an uplifting and positive place; but I promise you will never question this when you are at a Shamrock Series Horse Show!
