Horse & Rider Session // Natasha, Ariel & Belle

I am always so delighted to be back at the lovely Riverfront Equestrian Center for a session! The beautiful white fences and tree-lined street make for the most beautiful backdrop, especially in the fall like for this horse & rider session. I wish I could say it was a warm day for Natasha’s session but the winter weather was quickly blowing in and we faced a cold wind all evening long, but luckily she was such a trooper and we had a great time anyways (plus she brought me a peppermint tea from Tims! Thank you Natasha)!

Despite the cold weather, the evening was filled with warmth and laughter! Natasha shares a quirky and fun relationship with both her horses and it was lovely to get to know Ariel and Belle and see each of their different personalities. Belle was a bit goofy and quite a character, strongly opposed to any snuggles, while Ariel was a ham for the camera and all into the PDA! With each of them, you could sense that Natasha had a deep love and an attitude of kindness, warmth, and humour with her horses! She gave off the impression that she doesn’t take life too seriously and is always happy to laugh at the silly moments, like getting your white sweater covered in green horse slime. But I suppose that is just a fact about horses, they always keep you humble and remind you never to take yourself or life too seriously!

β€œBelle I have known since she was 3 years old and I had the full intention of selling her after a year of showing but quickly I realized that was never going to happen cause she was my heart horse that will be with me till the day she leaves this earth. Ariel I have only had for a year but she has been everything I could hope for and I'm head over heels in love with her.”
