Horse & Rider Session // Madison & Shadydeed
This summer session last year in Edmonton was such a beautiful and picturesque evening. GlenPark Stables was the perfect background for these photos and the stables were quiet that evening, perfect for a relaxed session. Madison had booked a horse & rider session at sunset with her stunning mare Shadydeed, affectionately known as “Dee”. The 9 year old thoroughbred mare easily could have been a double for the well known “Black Beauty” and was a delightful mare to work with, standing patiently for us and posing beautifully with her ears forward. Only when we went to the back field where the bugs started to bother her did she give us the classic “mare stare” and question what kind of strange torture this was. But remembering how bad those bugs were, I don’t really blame her! Madison and Dee met when Dee was still fairly young and green but despite the quirks of working with a young and hot horse, a bond was formed and after some road blocks of life, Madison finally purchased Dee in 2020. It was obvious that since then their connection has only grown and that these two really treasured each others company.
