Horse & Rider Session // Jorja, Castlefield Cassie & Zulu

I’m pretty convinced that Jorja is blessed in life to only own stunning horses! I have photographed 3 of her horses now and everyone of them have blown me away with their beauty and impeccable turnout, so even if you aren’t planning to read the blog, I will say, please check out these images to drool over and admire the beauty of Zulu and Cici!

Now that we are over the PSA about these two beautiful bays, there was something even more beautiful at this session and that was the connection and love between Jorja and her two horses. I knew from our earlier session with her mare Heidi that Jorja was nothing if not a devoted horse woman and this was all the more obvious with Zulu and Cici.

Zulu has been Jorja’s mount for longer than Cici, an impressive gelding who has enough personality and character for 5 horses! It was obvious that despite his quirks and idiocies, when it really came down to it, he was a dependable and stoic partner for Jorja and that the pair had built a sense of patience and trust in one another.

“Zu has been in my life for over a year now. when I was at the lowest point in my riding career after my old horse he made me remember why I love the sport and helped me get over many issues such as confidence.”

Cici in contrast is brand new to Jorja, an exciting purchase from down east and a mare with an impressive background. Somehow her presence just feels commanding. It was obvious that despite being a brand new team that her and Jorja would share a bright future, there was just something about it them together that made it feel like they were something special. Though it was clear that they were still learning about one another and testing the waters, there was an obvious connection and sense of withstanding patience that I think will make them an impressive team.

“we are slowly figuring each other out but I am so thankful I have this mare in my life now.”

Above all it is obvious that Jorja adores all her horses with a passion that doesn’t waver. I cannot wait to see where these partnerships take her as an equestrian and am sure she will be accomplishing incredible things in the show ring!
