Christmas Mini // Makayla & Cash

Driving to this session I was…concerned to say the least. The weather had taken a drastic turn and it was snowing heavily on my drive, not to mention the blustering winds. The joy of living in a province where winter exists. It was so cold we couldn’t stay outside for more than 10 minutes at a time, or at least we didn’t want to! So I think this is probably one of the fastest sessions I have ever photographed, but also so incredibly beautiful!

I had photographed these two previously at a horse show and it is equally obvious on the ground and in the saddle that they share a genuine trust in one another and also a carefree and fun-loving attitude. Their connection was obvious during their session and Makayla’s beautiful personality shone through in her smile and laughter, not to mention the fact that she put up with wind and snow blowing in her face constantly! I was honoured to capture their partnership and the beauty of their connection!
