General FAQ

  • Every client who books a session with me will receive a session planning call, which will cover everything from what to wear, how to get your pup ready, and printing your images. I will go through the whole process with you so that you feel 100% confident by your session date!

  • An image licensed for social media, which is the majority of the images included in your gallery will include a small digital watermark (see the above images for examples). These images are not high resolution and not licensed to be printed. Any images can be purchased as prints through my print store, which are sourced through a high-quality and reputable print store that will provide you with artwork to last a lifetime.

  • A Print Release is the right to print an image. These rights are inherently owned by the photographer once the image is captured. A print release is not provided with my images.

  • All images are licensed for personal use only and commercial use is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. If you would like to use your images for your equine-related business, please let me know and Iโ€™ll be happy to work with you!

  • All your digitals will be sent to you in an online gallery within 4 weeks from your gallery reveal, which will remain active for 1 year. This gallery also contains an online store, from which all your purchases can be made.

  • There is no travel fee if you are within 30km of my location (60 km roundtrip). Beyond this distance, there is a fee applied at a rate of 65 cents/km. If your session is part of a trip (ie. British Columbia, Edmonton clients, etc.) then there will be a flat rate travel fee applied to all sessions.

  • I do not have a minimum order in place, so ordering is not required, however your wall art credit will not be refunded if it is not used and it is not transferable. While I never require a client to print images, as I understand budgets and desires are flexible and individual, if you know that you donโ€™t want wall art I may not be the best photographer for you. I stress the value of printing your images throughout the experience, simply because I believe that a portrait to hang on the wall is the best and most important thing I can offer to a client.

Canine Specific FAQ

  • No training? No problem! After years of working with dogs, and over a decade of photographing horses, I am very capable of getting the perfect shot in any conditions. I promise that no matter your dogs training ability, we can capture beautiful images!

  • Not to worry! 99% of my sessions occur on leash, the leash just gets removed in photoshop. Ideally your dog should be on a collar, not a harness, as this is easier to remove in photoshop.

  • I will work with you to pick a perfect spot for your session. Generally this is one of 3 options,

    1. Your backyard

    2. A park close to your house (not an off leash park)

    3. A rented private dog park (sniff spot etc.)

  • Get in touch with me and we will plan a custom package for your needs!

  • I will always reschedule if the weather is poor, at no additional cost to you. We will choose the next available date.

  • Absolutely. I am so sorry that you are having to consider this for your pet, I know that is an incredibly difficult decision. If your pet is nearing the end of itโ€™s life and you would like to capture their final memories, please send me an email. I will always do my best to fit these into my schedule at the last minute and accommodate any additional needs (in home session, limited mobility etc.)

  • No, I am a natural light photographer and work on location to capture my clients pets in beautiful landscapes.
