Horse and Rider Session // Natasha & William with Holly and Damzi
I had this stunning session with the two gorgeous sisters, Natasha and Holly and their two beautiful horses! Natasha with her quirky and charismatic chestnut gelding, William and Holly with her personable and slightly sassy mare, Damzi. I adored working with these two lovely ladies and their amazing horses and had so much fun getting to know them! From classy, casual equestrian outfits, to glamourous grad dresses, these ladies came with class and personality to spare!
Both Natasha and Holly got their horses about a year ago, but their connections seemed to cary many years of trust in them. Damzi in particular was suffering from kissing spine, and these were to be her photos before going into surgery, and then recovery. It was clear that Holly cared deeply about the beautiful Hanoverian mare and still held high hopes for her future. I wish only the best for this mare, she may be little(at least for a Hanoverian) but she has the heart and character of a horse many times the size and I’m sure she will have the strength to get through the challenges ahead, especially with Holly to help her through.
William was the biggest flirt the entire session, and from what Natasha said, that is his typical character in life! He was a quirky, sassy and personable gelding with enough personality to last a lifetime. With his wayv mane and pretty much black tail, he is a bit of an oddity but it was clear that him and Natasha were a perfect fit, and he had us all laughing and smiling throughout the session! William was purchased after the retirement of Natasha’s last horse and they have goals of one day competing in the 3’6 hunters, and I have no doubt that they will get there!
This session was not only beautiful because Natasha and Holly are stunning, or because of their flawless dresses, but because of the love and care they have for their horses! Talking with both of them, about Damzi’s upcoming surgery and the retirement of Natasha’s last horse, it is clear that they are both impeccable horse women who but the care and love of their animals above all else and I think that is something that that is so clearly a thing of beauty. Both William and Damzi are adored and treasured, and this was so clear to me! I have no doubt that Holly and Natasha will go on to have amazing equestrian achievements, because they care so deeply for their equine partners and share a trust that is so evident. It was a treasure to capture their connection not only with their horses, but also as sisters!
