Horse & Rider Session // Keely & Crew

My first session back behind the camera in 2021 couldn’t have gone better! I couldn’t have asked for better models, a better day or a more beautiful backdrop! Part of me feels like I don’t even need words to accompany these photographs, since they really speak for themselves! This session had been in the works for months, having been cancelled twice due to covid related circumstances, so it felt like a relief that it was finally happening!

As I’m sure many of you will recognize Keely, as the wonderful woman who works on so many of our horses, to have them feeling and looking their best! I’ve gotten to know her in the last year as she has been working with Diesel and adore her attitude about horses and their care! She is incredibly hard-working, knowledgeable and truly devoted to always putting the horse’s best interests first. I knew that this care for horses must stem from a deep love for her own horse, so I was very excited to capture her connection with her own horse, Sky.

It was obvious at the session that Keely and Sky had a deep connection and incredible communication with one another, built over a long partnership. It was clear that all the things she loved most were part of the session, her boyfriend, their two dogs and Sky. I felt honoured to capture all of them together and the beautiful moments they share. There was plenty of laughter and the afternoon felt filled with warmth and love.
