Horse & Rider Session // Catherine, Colt & King

If I can ask anything of you today, it is to take the time to look at these images, to appreciate the beauty of this session. If I could show you one single session to represent the work that I deliver, it would be these images, this session.

This evening in early June was nothing less than perfect. Believe it or not, this session was actually at two different barns, first we started at Absolute Show Jumping with Colt, Catherine’s 22 year old gelding, her heart horse and faithful confidant. Then we made the short drive over to Rocky Mountain Show Jumping to capture memories with Catherine’s other beautiful grey warmblood gelding, King. The only shortcoming of this session was them inability to capture memories of them together, although with the help of a little photoshop we were able to create a black background image of the pair of them.

The memories captured this evening were truly nothing short of magical. Though King might have been a little high strung, it just made it more obvious the beautiful connection that he shares with Catherine and her sensibilities and natural ability as a horse woman. Her love for all of her animals was so incredibly obvious. The beautiful facilities at both barns and the stunning sunset only made for a more beautiful backdrop to capture these beautiful souls and the love they share.

“Colt is my heart horse, he’s getting older and is my best friend.” - Catherine
